Re: lester wright

i am his son in law. i would like you
to sum in short words what you thought of lester. it will help.
ya can't sum Les up in short words but I'll try...
he was a,
gentle giant with a heart of gold known by many, and a friend to all.
Les was the kind of man that made you feel like you found a new friend every time I spoke to him, he was loyal, and mild, and always made me smile. Lester was much more to me than I can describe in short words.
Les made this world a better place.

Lester had a very big passion for compassion for his fellow man. Our visit with him in September of 05 was a great time. Just wished we had more time to spend with them. One thing I'll never forget about him is his need to have his RV in the frigid zone. Its a bit cold when you can see your breath inside when it is close to the 100's outside :D..............SS

There will never be again in my time the Les we all knew. His gruffy manner and his compassion for his fellow man can never be copied by one person. A friend who i fished with. A friend that gave more than he recieved. A friend who was there for alot of us when times were tough. A friend who would let us know when we were out of line. A friend that i will forever miss

This is a forum with over 130,000 members, none have made me consistently laugh as Les did. Back in 2001 myself and a few oldtimers here cried with him.

Spinner was an honorable and compassionate soul.

Perhaps someone here who is good at digging up old posts could do us a favor and find the thread, where on his route in the wee hours, he once encountered the scene of a horrific road accident.
That post said it all for me. I believe it was sometime back in '03 or '04.
