Lenco Joystick, motor or controller problem? Troubleshooting help please...

Hi, we have a approx 4 year old electric pontoon w 2 motor on rear and Lenco joystick. All components seem to be Lenco. Anyway, one of the motors will not reverse. It spins but only forward regardless of joystick position. The 2nd motor works perfectly using the same joystick.

I am trying to troubleshoot this problem. How do I determine what component is the problem so I can order a new one? Motor, controller, joystick??? It used to work just fine so I doubt it is wiring but I have had it in the shop with NO luck ... So I went and picked it up. I would sure like to enjoy my boat this summer. Thanks for any tips!

Welcome aboard.

Can you switch the motor connectors - Left for right, right for left - The circled connectors. Then you can see if the problem follows the wire or stays with the motor.

Thank you for the info. We switched the connectors like you recommend AND (drum roll) the problem did not move to the other side. Can I assume this indicate it is the motor oR possibly the wire to the right motor? Any ideas what would make the motor only go forward ? If I remove the motor any additional tests I could run to identify the problem. THANKS FOR ANY FURTHER HELP,

I have the exact problem on my 2012 Campion I4 with the right motor doesn't reverse. I followed the above instruction to swap the two circled connectors and have a new problem: the right motor is running forward regardless that the positions of the joystick. The left motor is not functioning at all. So I put the connectors back to their original positions.

When the key is ON, the motor already had 24V power supply. Beside the two large power wires, there are three wires that control the operation of this motor. The connections are as follow:
From the controllers to the motor
BLACK BLUE
ORANGE RED
GREEN GREEN
The question is what do I need to supply to these three small wires of the motor to make it turn reverse? Thank you.

Wir haben einen Pontonstiefel mit Lenco Drive System.
Es hat das selbe Problem wie ihr Boot. Haben Sie eine Lösung gefunden? Wissen Sie wo wir einen neuen Joystick und Steuergerät kaufen können. Wissen Sie wie man den Joystik anlernen kann.
Das Problem ist wir kommen aus Deutschland.
