LEAKING WATER

Hi <br />I need help with the fresh water heat exchanger on a VOLVO AQ125, The cap is leaking I have replaced the rubber washer and the cap goes on very tightly, but it still leak when I apply power.<br />the water is gushing from under the cap.Is there some other washer or sealing ring that I need to get? <br /> :confused: <br />Please HELP<br />Mario

Are you talking rad type cap on top or the caps on the ends of the heat enchanger? If it is the caps on ends of the exchanger you can take it off and use a hammer on the center of it to put a slight dish back in the cap so that it seals properly. Just a little dish is all you need. They are made of brass I believe and will take new shape easily. You may not have to dish it, it may just have to be made flat again. If it is the rad type cap you can buy a new one.
