my friend has a yamaha 225txrc, came back to the dock today shut motor off and saw oil comming down lower unit, comming out of starboard lower cowling, pulled cowling, cleaned oil up around mid housing,ran motor again, shut off ,it looks like oil is leaking from the lower main seal,down drive shaft then running down, i think i know the answer, but it never hurts to ask, thanks guys eric
