Leaking oil from lower leg

Just purchased 2014 reinell 4.3l inboard. I lowered the leg and realized oil came out from where you put the muffs on. This normal? It’s my first inboard.

You have an oil leak. Something was installed incorrectly, or a seal broke, or there was water in the lower unit over winter and it froze.
