leaking fuel after cleaning carb

I have a 2006 Honda 30 HP outboard. After sitting for five months it would not start. I drained all the fuel, removed the carburetors and cleaned them with carb cleaner. I replaced them today and the engine started right up and idles smoothly. However, there is a good amount of fuel being dumping out one of the drain holes on the bottom right side of the engine housing. There are three holes in a row and the fuel is coming out of the most forward hole. I cannot see where the hose runs that connects here. Any idea what I need to do/didn't do to fix this? Next steps?? I would check the fuel hoses just to make sure they aren't damaged and check the hose connection points to make sure they aren't leaking.

Also, could be a float valve isn't closing correctly. If it doesn't close correctly, fuel can fill bowl and overflow. You can check this by removing the carb and drain gas from bowl.

With the carb right side up, blow into the fuel intake line. You should hear the air flowing through the valve. Next, turn carb upside down and do the same. The valve should be closed in this position and you shouldn't hear air.

If you do hear air, check the float valve operation. Also check the spring clip pin that holds the valve plunger(?) is positioned correctly.
