I am also new to boating (2yrs). I've had this tracker marine 18' party barge for 2 yrs and this year the front chmbers on the toons started taking on water (lots). when pulled out of the water it was seeping all along the weld joint. I drilled 1/8th holes on both sides to drain (it took forever) Question?? do I reweld and hope i get all the holes or fiberglass thewhole area. all help apprecited

Re-welding is the only way your going to fix it right. Take it from one who knows!! Been there, done that!

my friend has a 21ft tracker, with same problem.
he had 1inch holes cut & welded drains at the base of both rear tubes to drain water. he has had both sides front & rear welded so many times that to weld again 1/4 in plates will have to be used for re-enforcement.
-
must be thin alum that they use for their pontoons.
