Leak Down Test...

so, i did my own leakdown check.. put air into my #1 cylinder that has only
25 p.s.i compression and found the air to be coming out the dipstick hole..
when i blocked the dipstick hole, it came out the oil fill in the valve cover..

if im not mistaken, this means bad rings right???

by the way, this is a 1997 50hp yamaha 4 stroke..

either the piston is scuffed,has a hole in it or its edge has been eaten away or the ring gaps have lined up.
but yes, with air blowing into the crankcase the leak is at the piston/ring.
