I know this is a long shot but I'm looking to see if anyone can give me a few pointers on walleye fishing in Laurel Lake in southern KY. I have fished this lake since I was about 8 and every year we tear up the lake trout at night but seem like we're just wasting time during the day because we don't catch much. We realized a couple years ago that trolling at a pretty decent pace along the dam with blue and silver spoons we could catch some of the bigger trout during the day but you can only do that so long. I have two fishing trips planned for laurel in May and I have seen a steadily increasing number of walleye fishers during the day. Does anyone have any advice to lend for walleyee fishing such a deep lake in May during the day? I don't know much about walleye but I thought this was a fish that is mostly caughht at night????
