My 35 h.p. Evinrude is kicking out of gear in both forward and neutral at about 1/3 throtle. Checked linkage cable and this is not the problem. While shifting manually it still does it. What do you think is the culprit? What should I check next?

Serial number is 10003957. Anybody know year?

Thanks

Mike

You need the model no. to tell the year. If you have a manual, it tell's how to adjust the shift linkage. If it has been jumping out of gear for any lenght of time, you will probably need a clutch dog, and forward gear.
