Hi,

Where do I find the Serial Number on a late 1990's Mariner Magnum 40 engine?

The Outboard serial number is located on the lower
starboard side of the engine block. A serial number
is also located on the starboard side of the swivel
bracket.

Gerry,
Thank you. I'll check it next weekend. I'm not near the engine now. Obviously this is the first Mariner outboard I've owned. Do you know the oil type this engine era used? It has a oil reservoir in the front of the engine. Does the reservoir have a label that says the oil type used?
