Son hosted his yearly bash at the lake, ran the crap out of the go fast burned a tank plus 12 gallons. It;s over now going to winterize the ski boat and shut it down. Kinda sad we didn't put 25 hours on the ski boat this summer

My wife and I both fish. Nearest boat ramp is about 3 miles but the only time we have been on the lake all year was to troubleshoot one of the club boats. I think we maybe got out twice last year. Before I retired I had the boat out almost every Sunday April though October and occasionally throughout the winter.

Labour Day was usually when we packed up after spending the Summer at the Lake. Did make a few Winter Trips, but by the time the Furnace had warmed the place up, it was next morning and time to head home

Wherr are you? I usually get a wedkend or 2 on the lake in September and fairly often mansge an October weekend. I'm in VA so maybe it's warmer here?
When we owned property on the heated side of Lake Anna October boating was great.

Most people here pull their boats at the end of October But the hard core fishermen hang in till they shut off the water on the docks (December).

Pontoon will still be in but no more waterskiing. The mastercraft is not a cruising boat the passenger seat faces backwards so it gets put away.

I get through Sept. on the upper Chesapeake usually.
Then timing with putting boat on trailer/winterizing and colder air temps put an end to being on a pontoon.

My boat currently stays in a climate controlled garage year round. However, lack of use has pushed me into applying for a dock at the lake. I will probably use it more, but it will get more abuse sitting out in the elements all summer. I will hunt and fish from the boat until the ice closes in on the launch ramps ... usually around mid January.

No pontoonicus (of ours) at our dock at Big Moose Lake, yet. Going up Tuesday, probably only a couple more cruises this season in the old Mastercraft, we'll use the little Alumacraft and kayak til ice-in. The kids may still waterski (I would), the covered lift usually comes out in the early snows with the dock, etc.

The Admiral likes to do "cocktail cruises" in the Mastercraft, not really what it's made for, we get to go fast occasionally.

Hope to get a couple more cruises in this month. Then have it winterized at the end of the month. Too much going on to bother with it myself. Fishing boat is probably done.
Need to move the kid so she doesn't have to pay Oct rent. She's getting married Oct 4th.... Now to keep the fiance' away till they're married.....🙄😵‍💫🤔
