last nights UFC event referees

i dont think theres many( or any? lol) mma fans here on iboats, but if theres one other than myself..did ya notice how bad the refs were?

I like the MMA however..... sometimes it is tough to watch unless you are willing to pay the PPV fees. I am also a big boxing fan.

The refs have a tough job and I feel it is all based on their personal judgement......hard to tell watching on TV but, yes.......they do make bad calls or seem to favor one fighter.

I watched a couple of the prelims, but then the wife wanted to put a movie in, I had been fishing all day so she got to choose what to watch. I like watching and follow it, but don't ever go for the PPV. I started watching back when it was just getting started in the US.

watched it on ppv last night, and there was some scary instances of rule breaking ( no knees to the head of a downed opponent, no strikes to the back of the head), ref was on top of the action, but no warnings, no stoppages. as brutal as the sport appears, the safety of the athletes is foremost. ( one match was over ruled and awarded to the " looser", by the judges because of strikes to the back of the head.)
