HI,I bought an 1989 larson senza 22'v.The engine block was cracked, due to not being winterized. It is a 460 ford omc king cobra.I got lucky,as the lady I bought it from has agreed to absorbe the cost to repair. The motor is now at a high performance shop(very respected).I was thinking about adding performance upgrades. The boat is immaculate otherwise.I belive the motor is stock at 340 H.P.The boat has through hull exaust that has been disconnected & plugged at the transom. The motor shop suggested I install a new block, with new pistons & ring's,Balance everything,& free flow the heads. They suggested appox 600 ft pounds of torque.CAN THIS KING COBRA OUTDRIVE HANDLE THE EXTRA torque.ANY THOUGHTS OR COMMENTS.Thanks Fraser

Re: larson senza

I think if was mine i would build it back stock.
340 horses is plenty i would think.
Don't want to stress that older cobra drive.
May save you a costly drive rebuild.

She agreed to pay for the motor build..Thats cool!! :D

OMC I/Os are not famous for reliability. I wouldn't do anything to stress the outdrive.
