there is a warped looking place on my 1975 23 larson.its right on the top chine and about half way back.if you layed a straight edge along the hull there would be about 3" or so of warpage inboard and its on both sides of the hull.ive been under the floor there and the wood all looked good.the gelcoat isnt cracked or anything.so what could this be?also have 1 place on the chine at the bow that is doing a little spiderwebing.could it be what is called a hard spot?if so what to do about these problems would be appreciated.ALSO any info on old larsons design/construction/reputation <br />thanks!

Re: Larson hull inspection

You have a 26 year old boat. Some bad spot should be expected. What I mean by "bad" is that the glass doesent look right. Not a whole lot you can do about it unless you want to spend more on the boat then it is worth. There is sanding out, gell coat, paint match and when you are done there will be a new spider web 2 feet away. Give it a good wax to seal it up and enjoy it while you can. As for Larson...Had a 19 I/O Velro Sport for years. Hit something with it doing about 40mph. Still made it back to the boat ramp 5 miles away. Nothing but respect.
