Re: Lanyard kill switch

The lanyard switch when in place holds the ignition circuit open(not grounded).I'm guessing the previous owner simply disconnected the wires.May just need to be reconnected to switch.

EvinFla
If your switch is a double pole single through (6 contacts) move the wire from one end to the other keeping the wire on the same set of contacts. Or if a single pole single through switch (3 contacts) same thing. This will "reverse" the switch. if it has only 2 contacts, turn the switch over, that is if its one of those after market add in's that uses a togle switch.
Richard

The normal wiring of the kill switch on a OMC is:

The switch is inserted in black yellow stripe wire at the ignition switch holding the circuit open.

I'm not sure what you mean by reversed?

But here is only only way to wire correct.
