Many lakes have been contaminated by "fishermen" using goldfish for bait. The progeny usually devolve into common carp and not into giant goldfish.

Doesn't resemble any goldfish I've seen.

More like an orange white bass or white crappie with large scales.

Meh, there have been 14 other species of fish not to mention other aquatic critters that have been introduced into lake Tahoe over the past 100+ years... but the goldfish is going to be the one to muddy and muck it up.

That Koi/Goldfish is no worse than the (non-native) Common Carp that are already in the lake... and the eggs, fry, and juveniles will become part of the food chain.

If that 3 lb. Goldie strays too far into open water, I'm sure one of the larger (non-native) Lake Trout will have it for a meal.

It's the Easter Egg Carp. Wish people would get rid of unwanted fish the right way. I guess if it was a dog or cat it would have been dumped along the road.
