19' 1982 Galaxy bow rider Lake Michigan is a pup

Go have fun any day , I couldnt find enough big boats to travel behind to find more fun!! Went 10 miles out no biggy. No worries. This old hooptie handled well. all in all traveled total of 40 miles all day.

Only set back was a mishap while tubing, going to get a release cord so it doesnt happen again.

I got out early today and enjoy 5 hours of near glass on lake Michigan.
It truly is a great lake, where are you boating on it ?

I went out at pastrick marina and traveled approx 1-2 hrs straight out and then around west beach area, ended meeting some friends at wachala for some tubing and back.

I was out there yesterday too. A buddy of mine joined my wife and me and we left Burnham Harbor around noon and headed up to Wilmette for the day. We anchored in about six feet of water and it was gorgeous. I love it when the big lake is calm like that -- such a treat.

On our way back, we stopped and towed in a couple of guys on a jet ski who had accidentally sucked their ski tow rope into the water intake -- whoops. I was glad that we were able to help them out, as it was getting late in the day and it would have been a long swim back to shore.

I was also out of Grand Haven on Sunday, my first time out on the big lake and it was awesome. I couldn't have picked a better day for my maiden voyage!
