Hello. Not sure exactly where to post this on the forum but I know that it is helpful and useful information for anyone who boats on a lake and deals with changing lake levels.
I am a lake homeowner on Lake Hartwell in Georgia. We experience constantly changing lake levels throughout the year often resulting in me having to know when to visit the lake to move my dock and boat in out along with other routine tasks associated with changing lake levels. I decided to combat the "always having to check lake levels" problem by putting together a site called LakeLevelAlert.com at http://lakelevelalert.com .
The site currently monitors lake levels on 44 major lakes in the U.S The site alerts registered users via email when lake levels rise to or fall below levels specified by the user for their lake. You can set lake level alerts that will tell you when boating, skiing and general recreation is safe and when it is not. You can set alerts to tell you when to move your dock in or out. Set alerts to let you know when certain creeks and channels are usable for boating or fishing. There are a million different uses and it is FREE for anyone to use so please go check it out at http://lakelevelalert.com and sign up. Please tell your boating and lake friends as well.[/url]
