Anyone have any pointers/information on this lake? I've recently started fishing it (bass) and will continue to do so, but any information I've been able to find so far has been fairly limited. About all I really know is to avoid water shallower than 4 feet when running and be extremely careful when motoring around on the eastern side of the lake, near the bombing range. Any other information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Lake George, FL

Lake George has a fairly consistent depth of 4' to 10', and a sandy, featureless bottom, so most good bass fishing would need to be nearer the shore areas, at the mouths of creeks or near areas with heavy marine growths. I've seen lots of fishing activity in the area of the Southern mouth of the lake, near those wooden jetty-type structures and the old iron structure.

Re: Lake George, FL

I'm headed out there again tomorrow. I'll probably put in in Salt Run and see if there is any bedding action yet (since it's spring fed, the water temp is likely to be closer to optimal for bedding than the rest of the lake). If it doesn't look like anything is going on there, I'll take a run down to the SW part of the lake, where I've seen plenty of the people the last couple of times I've been out there and check out those eel grass beds. Thanks for the info.
