Lake Cumberland This Weekend

Good morning everyone! We're planning on making our first trip to Lake Cumberland this weekend. I've done lots of looking online and it looks like an awesome lake, they just raised the level so i guess much more will be accessible. We are staying at Jamestown Marina. We plan on seeing 76 falls along with just doing some cruising.

Any other places that we have to see and any advice for first timers on the lake?

Harmon Creek turned into the "Party Cove" when the lake level was low (used to be 76 Falls). It's a big lake; lots of places to get away from it all.

This weekend however will be an exciting one. Watch out for the big fast boats, and keep your camera handy: The Lake Cumberland Thunder Run Looks like there will be a raft up at 76 Falls both Friday and Saturday so there will be lots of eye candy there.

emilsr, thanks for the info, i was reading about that thunder run, looks pretty awesome, some of the boats there will be amazing! 76 falls sounds like a good time too, can never turn down a good raft up! Thanks again!

It IS awesome. Dan and Justin put on a great event.

It'll be rough in places with the big boats running. Take it easy and you'll be fine, just make sure you have everything tied down. :joyous:
