First thanks to everyone who answered questions on this project so far.
Ok The 1995 250 Yam project goes well. It is on the boat and after a full carb rebuild and a bunch of other crap it fires up and runs (A week of evenings and $200 in parts to rebuild all 6 carbs) It is linked and sync and running.
All Test running has been done with 50:1 premix so far.
OK now about the Oil Injection.
This is a 15 year old motor. How reliable are these old pumps? I dont trust the sensors on a motor this old and I know if one line plugs its over!
Is there a big advantage to having it oil feed? vs the reliablity of premix?
Will it foul the plugs on 50:1? Kill the fuel consumption?
If I go to Premix what is the conversion proceedure? (They dont put that in the manuals)
I have used premix for years and I dont find it a bit difficult to do. So if theres no major drawbacks I'd like to go that way.
Again thanks to everyone so far.. I could never have afforded a bolt on and go motor.
