so i have a 2013 Ram 1500 with about 58,000 miles on it. i bought it in july 2013 with about 5000 miles on it. about 6 weeks ago i noticed a small bubble on my drivers side bed side. i took it to the dealer and had them take pics and document it. there was no rust showing and no break in the paint, only a bubble. this past weekend i noticed a 2nd bubble. got a call today that they are covering it under warranty and replacing the whole bedside. the warranty is 5 year 100,000 miles but from what i read they usually don't pay up. they find a way out of it somehow. it's going in 8/7.

not that Dodge went above and beyond but just happy they are honoring their warranty

I have an '08 Jeep Wrangler with lifetime power train warranty.

even with a winch and bumper and bigger tires and ... you get the idea. Dodge has been great about covering the warranty work on it. JUst had it in the shop last week for another $1000 worth of work 0 cost to me.

yeah, i heard it is nearly impossible to get any manufacturer to back their corrosion warranty. usually because the states there must be a hole and must have started internally. the problem is once there is a hole there is no way to tell how it started. luckily i caught it early enough that they couldn't deny it wasn't internal

sad when a 4 year old vehicle rusts out. i always spray my wheel wells when i wash them but this truck has plastic liners that are meant to keep crud out, the problem is it finds its way in but then can't get out. from now on when i wash it i am going to loosen the liner and hose it out
