Konrad Outdrive?

Hi again all!<br /><br />I had great success on here earlier. Big thanks to waterone1 who hooked me up with a starter. Good step in right direction.<br /><br />I have a mercruiser 260 of the 79 vintage (or thereabouts) in a 79 bayliner victoria. The outdrive says Konrad on it. Is this a pre-alpha? <br /><br />I am trying to figure out the best service manual to get that will be most specific to what I have.

Konrad marine started building outdrives after 1990 which is after the Alpha ones were being built. So yes its a Pre- Alpha. But the Konrad is a "aftermarket drive" and could have replaced a TRS drive also. Take a look here and read more.... Konrad

My Guess Is,........<br /><br />Your boat is rigged with the Pre-Alpha, engine,+ transom assembley,......<br />And, An After-market Drive assembley.......
