I have a 1988 force 125, with Us controller (I think its US) small section in the manual about this control setup. but it does not mention the small black knob under the key. had the controls apart once and saw that it goes to an adjusting screw.

What does it adjust??

when and how should i Use this adjustment?

Thought maybe it was a idle adjustment but dosn't seem to help my poor idle.

any insight greatly appreciated

It tensions the force required to push the throttle so that the throttle lever does not vibrate back to idle.
