Hey Stinger,
Could be a couple of things. Hard to say without more details but you can start by ensuring your gas tank is vented. Could also be an electrical problem (shows itself when motor heats up). When you say "starts cutting out" do you mean misfires (misses) or loses power? Give us a little more information to work with & we can probably help. ;)
Backlash

Hey Stinger,
OK, it sounds like you might be dropping a cylinder after the motor warms up. You can isolate the bad cylinder by pulling the plug wires one at a time when it starts acting up. If a difference is noted when you pull the plug wire - that cylinder is making power. If no difference is noted - that cylinder is bad. Once the cylinder is identified, pull the plug & check it's condition. If dry, no fuel is getting in. Check the carb. If wet, no spark. Check the coil for that cylinder. Switch the coils & see if the problem moves with the coil. You might want to use J. B. Cornwell's hair dryer trick (look at the post "Help!!! 1977 75 hp Evinrude" dated 20 Aug 01).
Backlash
