I have a '94 2500 Suburban that just sits in the driveway. It is in good shape and only has 44k miles on it. It also grows a considerable quantity of flora as I am in the PNW. Since the economic crisis and the high gas prices I never drive it, I have not renewed the tags for several years and I've cancelled the insurance on it.

At least 4 times this year, I have had four different people stop by and ask if I wanted to sell it. All of these people were what I considered to be fringe citizens.

Then yesterday, I got an email that I had a message in ebay. (I have the same name there) The guy says;

"I saw you were thinking about getting rid of your suburban. Let me know more about it and send some pictures."

Where does this come from?, I have never mentioned my Suburban on ebay, or any interest anywhere else, to sell it.

This kind of creeps me out.

Did these fringe citizens have almond eyes and grayish skin?

Maybe the Suburban "wants" to be sold....it is lonely.
You never take it to the lake/river anymore....never take it out to eat.
You haven`t even bought it a "drink" in a loooong time.
Yep...I believe the Suburban wants some attention and advertised itself...:D :)

No doubt it is lonely and neglected. I'm afraid the grease is going to shrink up around all the ball joints and tie rod ends.

Fact is, I still have a boat that needs pullin, that is if we ever get any semblance of summer weather around here.

Come on Boomyal you know there is NO SELLING allowed on iboats!! How much were you asking so I can tell aspeck who wants to know!! :D

You have a stalker who desires a relationship with your Suburban........yep, that's creepy!

Well, I think you've got too much personally-identifiable information online. For someone you don't know to be able to connect the dots to your driveway is bad news. They may know someone you know, or have seen your name-tagged picture on someone else's facebook page, or whatever. Now, a little time with Google will show that you don't have insurance on it, low miles, not registered, etc. (In my area, cars in driveways need current registration. In garages, or not visible from street, no reg required.) Maybe a neighbor thinks they shouldn't have to look at it. Whatever.
At this point, I think you should at least insure it, because people you don't know want it. I'd consider moving it to the garage if possible, or parking it in with other vehicles.

It does sit in the driveway along with two other cars (side by side) but it does have a Club on the steering wheel.

I looked at the profile of the guy who sent me the message in hopes I might get an indication of who he was. He is in Michigan and I am in Vancouver Washington. He looks legit as he has been on ebay since 2001 and has 48 feed backs with a 100% rating.

It is not likely someone I know who just has an ebay handle that I do not recognise.

Nah, I already got it from the internet! ;)

Still sorry I missed the opportunity to hook up with you aspeck. Had a high speed run, down thru Lancaster to DC on that trip and even then the time was too short with Boomyal Jr.

Totally understand ... There will be another time, either here or there ... After all, I have to pick up my new ride, or you deliver it ... Lol!

You better get some insurance on it in case those folks steal it. They might wreck it and then sue you for medical bills.....
