Kill switch?

Hey all!
I'm new to boating so bear with me on the cheezy question. I just got a boat with a 48hp Johnson. I noticed that the kill switch was broken and in order to get it started, I have to push in on the button piece that broke. I'm assuming this is a 'dead man switch' or 'driver overboard' type switch. Correct? Any workarounds or do I need to go get a full replacement?

Thanks!

Bill

Re: Kill switch?

Good post.

Just go to your dealer and buy the lanyard. And use it. Thats the best "workaround" you'll ever do.

Good luck!
