Re: kill switch?

You talking about the safety lanyard kill switch? If so ,just leave the two wires disconnected and cut the exposed ends off or tape them up.

Yes, OB that is what I am talking about... so I don't have to worry about it being compressed. I have a push button so I just cut the wires going to the swithc and that is it and I won't have to keep it compressed and the motor will start??

Not sure of the wire colors attached to the lanyard switch in your control box ,but just disconnect them from the switch and seal the ends so they don't go to ground and you'l be good to go.Someone else may be able to confirm color of wires.

Re: kill switch?

I am disconnecting it becasue I am havng trouble getting started OB. My Mechanic siad he had it running now I got it and can't get it to start. Its cranking but just won't trun over. I got a cener console control box. My mecahnic said that he put his kil siwthc on since I don't have the cover for it. He said that could be the reaason. I also was wondering, could a not very well sealed gas line casue it not to start?

Re: kill switch?

There could be a number of issues related to your starting problems.Perform a spark test at cranking speed and see if you have fire.If so we can search for other cause.

Yeah, it does have spark and it was running last weekend fine... he used his own fuel tank. When I pikced it up and bought new stuff and now it won't start. So I think that it is a fuel line if it was running fine 5 days ago. Compression is 125 125 125 130.

Oh VRO is disconnected and set up to run Premix. But I think that it is air getting into the fuel line??

Re: kill switch?

Pump up you primer bulb and insure it will get completely firm indicating that the float valves are holding and there are no fuel leaks between primer bulb and carbs.

Re: kill switch?

Now I pumped up the primer before I went to the ramp today. I tilted the motor, and when I got to the ramp fuel had leaked oout somewhere. Under the carb it looked like.?? Is that from it being tilited or could that be a leak?
