What is the "Model Number" of the engine?

Follow the wires from the kill switch back to the engine. One will go to the block as ground and the other to the amphenol connector from the power pack.

Make sure the ground is clean and tight.

Pull the amphenol connector apart and make sure the pin and it's mating socket are in the plugs far enough to make contact.

You can pull the rubber off the switch and clean the contact on the inside of the switch.

Ditto what OBJ said, I had to clean corrosion off the switch contacts on mine. I really need to replace mine since it broken where it thread into tiller handle and won't stay put.

If you checked the switch at the end of its wires chances are it is okay.I have seen a couple of power packs that had internal problems, and even though the switch gave them the ground signal, they would not shut down.

DHP

Yeah, probably what DHP said, but I've seen circumstances where an ohm meter said something is ok but really it wasn't. Don't take much of a path to make an ohm meter say "YES".

Trace your kill button wires and insure that the output is making a solid ground.
