I need to remove my rectifier in order to replace all of my fuel lines. I will also be removing my starter, carbs and magneto for service. Is it as simple as just unplugging the three terminals ? I have pulled and wiggled them pretty hard and they haven`t budged .Do I just need to put more force into it? 104_2531.JPG

The spade terminals should pull off with pliers. Other solution is to unbolt it from the bracket. You should test it to make sure it's OK. You can use this procedure rectifier-testingsmall.jpg

Thank you merc850. Should have known mine would be different. Don`t know it is`s original or not but they are soldered on really good. Can I check it with the wires still attached ? My inner harness is in terrible shape, does anyone make a replacement that you know of ?

It's original; you would have to unsolder the wires to check it which you should do anyway to replace the wiring, I am not a fan of those selenium recs I usually replace with the diode type. If you can find a good section on the yellow stator and red + from rectifier solder new wires to them; the yellow wires are A.C. so they can go on either terminal.
I don't know a source for wiring harnesses other than CDI.

Unsoldered the wires on the rectifier and tested it but it failed check #2 and check #4. I ordered a diode type rectifier to replace it. I also checked the stator and it is good except for the bad wires. I will start at the terminals and work my way up hunting good wire to splice onto. May end up using a lot of heat shrink and liquid tape.
