Kicker motor for 16’ super sport?

Hey guys, just wondering what you super sport owners are using for kicker motors.

Would 10 horse be too big?

I’d like something that will troll nice and slow for a while I also be powerful enough to do a fast troll through some swells (backup power to get home if the main motor fails)

I use a long shaft Tohatsu 9.8 electric for my 18’ SS.

10 horse might be a bit much for a 16'r to troll at slow speeds, it will surely get you back to the dock though.

The 9.8 is even a little much for the 18', but I bought a long shaft, electric, so I can use it on a sailboat along with a kicker for the StarCraft SS. If I get stuck out on the lake it is nice to be able to get back and to recharge batteries off the kicker if necessary.
