Here are so photos of Sinistre and my self. Jamaica bay had some bait fish but was faily quite. We cought only 1 bunker. Boat charters near was were dry also. My Winter purchase of the Mercury 15hp 4stroke proved reliable. Boat held up fine. Had the boat packed to the T with gear and a 2.5 tohatsu as a emergency back up. Only issue i ran into was: we glued on the registration letters and they came off by the end of the day. Will need to rethink this strategy. Y'all only took out one boat?
I'm soooo jealous
You are braver than I am.
My first trip out will be this weekend
When did you get your wheels?
Do you flush the saltwater out of your engine when you get home ?

Yes, we took out just my boat because Sinistre engine is in pieces. He had to change impeller and now hes changing his thermastat. He could'nt get his replacement parts on time so we decided to go out. When we left it was freezing at around 42 degrees but by 10am it got warm and we were enjoying the 60 degrees. I got my wheels last year when I all my dolly attempts failed. No I do not flush it after every use. I did flush flush my 6 at the end of last season with fresh water. I plan on flushing once after each season because i would have to run up and down the stairs with 5 gallon buckets about 6 times to flush it after use, to much work (wish i could flush it after each use. If my plans work out and i can rent a cheap garage then i will not only flush it I will also wash it lol). Also for anyone planning on buying a boat take a look at the pics on how full it gets. If anyone is wondering my boat is a Zoom by Zodiac 350s 11.6". Comes with one bench and wood floor. I also realized i was puting the floor in upside down all last year and now I know the correct way and will time my next outing (goal 15 min complete setup). Couple things I noticed i need to attend to:
1) transom wheels lost air need to reinflate them (dragging boat with flats is a nightmare and near impossible)
2)I am getting access water in my boat (cannot find the hole, Inflated it poured a gallon of water in it and not a drop of water on the floor)
3)Bow bag seems to be a must due to all the stuff i had laying all over the boat.
4) need to an easy removable reel mount for my anchor reel and a tie off patch on the side of the boat so the anchor rope does not drag against the tubes and cause damage.
5) Build a really good handtruck dolly for easy transport of the outboard. (will be working on it this week and will try to reveal my masterpiece sometime before next launch.
6) some kind of seat because my behind hurt from 8-9 hours of sitting on the tube.

Bottom line: be out on the water as fast and as comfortable as possible

So do you have a dolly for the motor or are you still brute forcing it?
I flushed mine yesterday.
In fact my boat has been inflated on my deck since Saturday.
I try something new everyday.
It should all pay of this weekend when I launch by myself

You only need a permit if you plan to leave your car there past sun down. it's free to launch there as long as you do not use a trailer and if someone tells you anything different tell them Lincoln the park supervisor approved it

Awesome that you got out on the water,
'wanted to head out on the water over here on Muscamoot bay or
an inland lake to shake the rig down for the season, but with the promise of
storms ( that never came ), I did not want to deal with an abrupt / semi-panic
wrap up while out figuring out everything I forgot from last season.

For your Reg #'s, make up a stencil and just "Sharpie" it on
( really inexpensive / easy to touch up ~ every few months / but the Sharpie ink tends to get all over the place )
or get something like the Inflatable Boat Lettering/Numbering Stencil Kit West offers
( which has the reputation of needing to be redone every 6 months )

iBoats has the kit from SeaSense
Seasense Boat Registration Set 50091190
that I suppose if it is possible to glue the plate to your boat would be acceptable
to all of the authorities

& then there is boatnumberplate.com
which according to their warranty is at least a 10 year solution

I attached my reg tag with white quick cure 3m 5200 while the boat was inflated (needs a day+ to cure).
( I suppose you could try the same with the Reg numbers, but there was waaay to much potential
for me to make a gooey mess )
Even though 5200 is supposed be for permanent application eventually it is gonna peel away from the vinyl,
but not likely before my Reg Tag expires ( every 3 years )
( use of some 2-part vinyl glue would like result in something very permanently attached )

Hey Weimed..... Did the boat fill up so quick due to fact you had 2 guys and gear? I was thinking a boat that size is pretty good size.

I am strongly considering boat number. My issue is i do not have a location to let it cure

I guess it was because everything was all over the place. A bow bag should get things more organized. We had 4 rods and i only had 2 holders so the other rods had to lay across the boat. The 6 gallon gas tank took up room, 5 gallon bucket, Sinister's backup motor took up some room. Did not get really tight but it did feel like we could not add anymore gear

I got a Bow bag and more importantly for you I got a padded under seat bag.
I think I will order another one and use it as a fish cooler when the boat is set up for both benches

Yep, Come to find out i was installing my floor upside down last year. Got it down packed now! much easier i think i can now setup the boat without mods in about 10 min flat
