Key West vs Maycraft

I am thinking of buying either a new 19' Key West CC, or a 19' Maycraft CC. I would appreciate any input relative to these boats. Either would have a 115 Yamaha 4 stroke with galvanized trailer, dual batt. The quoted price for each is around $25, 000. Is the 155 sufficient power, or should I go with a 150 hp? also does the price sound reasonable? Any help would be appreciated.

I don't think you can go wrong with a Key West boat. They are good quality boats and built very well. Don't know much about the Maycraft boats. Compare options on both boats and also warranties. Key West has a lot of things that many boat companies have as options.

The Key West 1900 is one of their older designs. It must be a very popular model. A more comparable Key West model with the Maycraft would be the 186CC.

As far as HP, Key West advertises in their 2009 catalog that the 1900 does great with a 115hp. The 1900 weighs 1600 pounds whereas the Maycraft weighs 1900. That is a big difference.

As far as price, you are in a buyers market. Shop around and take advantage.

I own a 93 19ft Key West Center Console with a yammy 115 two stroke... absolutely love it... handles great and rides smooth... cruise speed with 2 people and all gear is around 26 knots...
