Keeping your engine cooler

:cool: Is there any ways to help keep you engine cooler besides driving in the winter? It is water cooled only 2hp outboard evinrude

The thermostat keeps your outboard at the correct temperature range unless something isn't working properly: Thermostat, water pump, clogging.

The 2 Hp does not have much cooling and no thermostat.
Depending on use and storage, every 5 year (max) change impeller, head-gasket and exhaust cover gasket.
If older than 5 yrs, lift off the powerhead and change the water tube rubber grommet.
