Not supposed to be a bad joke but couldn't think of what else to title it ;)

How does one keep the sharp angled rim crevice from rusting? I wash everything after every launch with salt-off, the rims are only 2-ish years old. Was thinking about smearing a finger of marine grease in that crack and just making that part of my washdown schedule. Anyone have tips?

Also thought of just giving it a fresh coat of some rustoleum every few launches, but thought grease might be better.

Futile effort unless you “seal” (weld) both sides of the “crack”.

The fix is a one (1) piece rim

Use galvanized wheels in salt water, not painted

If you had caulked that seam before ever using the wheel, you may have prevented crevice corrosion.

However once corrosion starts, there is no solution

Now you can just use the wheel until the rust gets too bad to use and throw away
