Keeping cushion secure

Hi everyone, I’m looking at what this part would be called so that I could replace it. I recently bought a 1996 Starcraft 1810 and the rear cushion that runs the width of the boat is missing fasteners to keep it closed (see attached photo). I took it out for a ride over the weekend and the wind caught it. I’m surprised that it didn’t come off the hinges.

Thanks

I would call it a "grabber catch," but I don't know what that particular type is called. It's real similar to a point type of connecter we use making some signs.

Worst case scenario you could always rig up some type of latch to keep it from coming up. Especially since it's hinged on the top.

Yep a simple gate/door latch from a Hardware store will solve your problem. Either 1 in the centre or 1 at each end. If the cushions want to fly away too use strips of Velcro.
