Kawasaki TS 650 question

Hey everyone, new to the site. I was just given a 1990 Kawasaki 650 ts. It's actually in pretty good cond. my uncle kept it in storage alot and probably has low hours. I have changed battery, spark plug, gas, oil. I have run it 3 times and seems like its going good.

Can anyone suggest any more preventative maintenance for this ski i can do?

Any regular maintenance this thing needs?

I flipped it once and oil spilled all into the engine compartment. It has no plug so i have to degrease it, hose it down, and siphon water out of the engine compartment. Is this okay? any easier ways of doing this?

Any easy horse power upgrades a novice pwc mechanic like me can do?

I dont know much about these things just trying to get as much fun out of this thing before the motor or something else expensive goes on it.
