Kawasaki JS 650 engine problems (over heating in cylinder)

I bought this ski at the end of last summer and have taken it out three times. The first time it ran for around 20 minutes before it started to bogg down and then quit, it would start and then die and eventually it didn't start at all. The whole time it was running it was smoking heavily. I took apart the engine and found that one of the pistons was really eating itself up, there were deep grooves in the sides of it and it had gawled some aluminum against the side of the sleeve, it also ate up some oil. I will probably sound like an idiot for this but I didn't mix any oil with the gas, the previous owner didn't say anything about that and it never crossed my mind because it had oil in the crank case. I found that the fuel comes through the crank case as well. Any ideas on what I can do to fix the problem would be greatly appreciated. Also, if I put oil in the fuel will it stop taking as much oil with it from the crank case into the cylinder?
Thanks,
Dan

get a rebuilt engine and be sure to pre mix your oil in the fuel// your engine is destroyed

Do you know of a good place to get a rebuilt engine?
