Hello,

I just purchased a 95 Kawasaki 750 XI SS and have had problems since. It had a blown piston so I bored out the cylinders and also cleaned out the carbs (didn't take apart the crank case, looked okay though, bearings were good). It starts like a champ now but will stall if I accelerate too quickly. I have tried adjusting the carbs but it doesn't seem to improve (which is not fun with the carb setup). I have them tuned to the shop manual specs. It also has quite a bit of smoke coming out of the exhaust at low RPM's. The smoke could be from the extra oil in the gas for the cylinder break in period?? Not sure what else to do? Any thoughts?

THROW THE PLUG WIRES AWAY AND PUT IN NEW ONES do not blame the carbs kawasaki has really bad wires I fooled with one for months and it was the wires all along, kept tearing down the carbs, and not finding the problem, and mine smoked all the time when it idled never could do any thing about it just don't idle with the wind to your back COUGH COUGH.
