kawasaki 440 standup fuel mix ratio

can any one give me a breif run down on oil/fuel mix for a kawasaki 440 and any other usefull info on use and maintenance as I bought it last week end and cant wait any longer to have a go.<br />the bloke I bought it off was pretty useless in that department

I use 4 oz to a gallon of fuel. Be sure the impeller and pump liner are not rubbing, add a zink block to the ride plate to slow down corrosion especially in salt water. clean out the cooling hoses especially at the jet pump where it goes in to the ski. Check the torque on the head bolts and do a visual inspection of the wiring and cables, be sure to seal any plastic gromets where wires go in to the electrical box that are broken it seems they do like to snap and allow water inside.

40:1 is what is normal ratio mix. 32;1 is what the factory recommends but 40:1 is what I run my skis at<br />Rob
