Kawa 900zxi cutting out after 15 minutes

I have a strange problem that I can't seem to figure out what's wrong with the jet ski.

It all started after the jet ski was submerge after tipping over.

Anyway, currently the jet ski would perform normall for about 15 minutes then out of no where it would not be able to rev above 4000rpm. It's acting as if it was starving for fuel.

Any ideas?

you need to get the water out of the fuel

I don't think so. Again, today I went out and was able to ride a almost redline for about 15 minutes or more. Then it started to cut out and I was not able to go above 5k rpm. I don't think it's the fuel at this point. If it's the fuel, it would happen right away.

I also replaced the inline fuel filter and check the fuses. It checked out.

It's either the thermostat or there is a clog in the cooling system. I waited about 15 minutes to let it cool then I was able to go full speed for another 3 minutes or so.

What's the symptom of overheating?

how do i go about making sure that the cooling system is working?

check the hoses that feed the exhaust perhaps there is an obstruction and the exhaust sensor is kicking it in to limp mode
