Sure lube axles on my dual karavan trailer really make maintenance easier.
I trailered my pontoon from the chesapeake bay slip I'm in to Lake Raystown in Pa. So multiple dunkings. Got the grease gun out at home before heading back to the slip and was able to force the water out of each spindle with new grease.
nice.

question?? with water getting in, will that not turn the grease into muck,,, because it sure did on my brothers trailer wheel bearings, after only 50 miles or so on the the new Carry-on WHEEL HUBS, our grease went from red marine grease to tan colored muck, needless to say,, damage to race was not far behind, and did show signs of wear, just after a little use,, water in grease is no good "just my opinion" !!

It is not, I agree. My grease , however, didn't turn to muck. The water was actually separate from the grease. Pushed it out and made drops of water. Maybe it's the grease I use and I have researched this stuff like crazy. Also maybe it's my maintenance as it gets a fall and spring shot and , as now, whenever I use it like I did.
this is the grease I use, I'm not trying to start an "oil" thread.
but that's the point of this thread, karavan sure-lube pushes from the back, through the rear bearing, then through the front bearing, and out.
