just wondering

i have a 75hp mariner working on a couple of things today i noticed fire jumping off of all 3 coils onto the engine from under the rubber caps does this mean my wires are bad or can i seal this with something? thanks for all yalls help<br /> howster!!!

Did you read my topic. maybe it will help.<br />Look for this topic a few topic down from yours<br /><br />Evinrude Outboard will not go fast <br /><br />Maybe you have a different problem. The better you explain the better people will be to give you a good answer. <br /><br />you said when engaged motor dies. Sounds like the same problem I had.<br /><br />When I put in forward I had a problem with giving it gas it caused to stall out. But you are adding the part about having it out of the water. <br /><br />Good luck

If you're seeing fire leaving the coils and going to ground, that will definitely make your engine miss and run bad. The wires could be bad, or it could be moisture or carbon.<br /><br />c/6<br /><br />Hooty
