After several questions, and a TON of reading on here. I got my 75 Evinrude 9.9 running great. A lot of my issues was the tiller handle. It was bent slightly, the shaft going through was hard to turn, and the gears were ground down. I swapped it out for the one off my spare parts 15hp and fired it up today. She ran like a champ... atleast I think so Heres a quick video. In neutral and then in forward. Atleast I can get out fishing until my main engine gets reqaired :facepalm:

And yes, that clamp is there for a reason lol Not bad for a free motor

Good to see you got it running again. There's a lot of good guys here to help out. It's about the best forum I have been in yet and people usually respond quickly. Good Lunck and happy boating.
