I've lurked here for a while and figured I'd introduce myself. I'm 32 married with 2 kids. We live on Lake Chesdin in Dinwiddie, VA. I have a Hurricane 220 with an I/O 4.3 Mercruiser. It is a 2006 model year but it only has 20 hours on it  I bought it new. I've always paid to have it winterized and oil change etc but this past year I winterized it when I did my RV and now I need to change the oil etc. It did start right up today and I flushed it out. I just need to do some research for the oil and filter specifications. I can't locate my darn manual lol.

I hope to put a few more hours on it this summer and am even considering bring it to the bay but I'm afraid of putting it in salt water.

Welcome.

Please chime in often as we try to get our Hurricane forum more action.

As far as the saltwater......... think about the world that awaits you out there and you have yet to discover........ I would never pass up an opportunity to explore new waters on my Hurricane.:D

Welcome aboard.:D

Go to the Mercruiser section, under the Adults only section. You find the Service manual for your particular engine and get the right information there.

OEM Service manual is always the best way to go.
