Just some pics -- that is all.

Taken with Blackberry Torch.

There is a stretch of beach in North Cape May, NJ that offers great sunsets. Was a miserable, windy day and not going to offer the sun sinking into the bay, but the sky/sea looked good enough for a pic.

I had run down to North Wildwood and Cape May to attend to a property, and I always swing by North Cape May for a sunset. It's good for the soul.

Very nice Philster, gloomy grey days seem to bring the right light for great photog. opportunities sometimes. I realize that your is a sunset but I grew up on what we call the sunrise side of Michigan have have had the pleasure of witnessing many over the years from Au Gres in the south to Alpena in the north. Your very correct, They are good for the soul. No matter what the season.

The beauty of capes and peninsulas on the East coast is an opportunity for both sunsets and sunrises.

Here is one with a simple Blackberry Curve along the same stretch a couple o' summers back (my kiddies):

This one was a wee bit more grainy. I think I squeezed all I could out of the BB Curve that day. Earlier, she had taken a spill into the Atlantic Ocean when I was fishing and she was about an hour from completely dying!

I also get to enjoy the sun rises on Lake Huron from my folks house, and they are spectacular! Greenbush is a small town located right on the lake, and my iboats site name. Great sleeping with the widows open durring a eastern blow with 5-6 footers crashing on the beach. Best part is, it's all fresh water and looks just like the picture from above.

Here's a couple of sunrises over the Atlantic. Location: North Wildwood, NJ near Hereford Inlet (great, natural inlet. Ride the breakers in and learn how to keep a bow up no matter what the sea throws at ya! Of course, it changes every year, so you need to be able to read the changine shoals by the color of the water and how it plays off the bottom. Every ripple matters. Wait, this is a photog post)

Getting tired of taking Blackberry pics. Investing in 35MM SLR soon. Use to run around with a Nikon 35MM back in the day. Modern digital camera is long overdue -- just got to stop spending money on boats!

bruceb58, Laguna Beach is nice. I get out to Orange County a few times each year and got familiar with many of the beaches, even up to LA County. Did a couple of nice runs (as in jogging) up Redondo Beach and Santa Monica last time out.

Have to get out to Laguna Beach again. Haven't been there in a while.

If I could secure a nice touring bike, I would do it. Can you rent a good bike anywhere out there?

I spoke to a guy that wanted to do a ride and he was quoted $80 for a nice road bike which seemed awfully high.

One of my favorite rides is to ride from around here(Laguna) or San Juan Capistrano to San Diego and take the train back. Is around 80 miles or so.

That's what we thought. Cars were cheaper to rent.

Sheeeesh I am jealous.....

We are in between any good color around here. The state is basically mostly brown and ugly right now. The lakes are NOT frozen but the channels are just a bit.

Great pictures everyone.

Okay here is a pictures from 3 years ago DSCN3766.jpg of my local Lake Bomoseen and this year it is still open water :(

Dang, fisherguy, that right there is purdy. :)

Yeah... I would like a blanket of snow and maybe some frozen waterways if it's gonna be cold out.

Not going to be snowy in the NE USA this year...
