Hi, my name is Lou and I posted my first thread in another section introducing myself and then stumbled on this one for Sea Ray owners so I just wanted to introduce myself here too and say hi.
I just got my feet wet in boating and bought my boat back in June. I have a 1986 Sea Ray Sundancer 270. She is pretty clean and solid but I plan on doing some upgrades and TLC on her while learning my way around because she was sitting for a year before I bought her. I did some work and cleaned her up some since I bought her and I haven't regretted her yet. Below are some pics.... hope to get to know you all and in advance allow me to apologize if I become a pain in the butt with questions to help me get her to dream status. I grew up doing Automotive restoration work and painting so I plan on doing as much as I can myself.

Welcome aboard, nice looking boat. When you get to the restoration questions you may want to post them in the restoration section, that is where the restoration folks hang out most of the time. You have joined the best site on the net. There is a Sea Ray specific site known as clubsearay.com . I am a member there also. I think I hang here on iboats the most. Both are great places to be.

Thank you both, I appreciate the kind words and welcoming. So far I have picked up a couple of helpful things already so I am glad I found this site and will check out the other one too. It's like being a kid again with learning something new for the first time and so far I have enjoyed every minute of it. One thing I really like is the comradery I see, just a great group of people involved in boating.

Hey Lou, great boat. I just bought a 1986 Sea Ray 270 Sundancer too. Like yours it is in good condition and needs a little TLC. Keep me posted on anything you find and I will do the same for you.
