Hi All,
The boat's on the trailer and I just installed new side navi lights. After installing the port side I flipped the switch to test it and it did light up. But after installing the starboard side, neither side will light up. And the anchor light won't light up either.

What could be the problem?

Thanks in advance.

Paul.

Maybe the fuse is bad.

Thanks for the response. I check some 5 and 10 amp fuses under the helm but not luck.
They should light even with ignition off correct?

Correct...switch should be powered at all times.

Typically, especially with a side console, the wiring for the nav lights comes off the switch to the starboard light, then is daisy-chained over to port. Since the port light worked, you need to take a look at your wiring on the starboard side. Did you hook up the leads backwards? That's when the problem started...

bought another starboard light, connected it, and it lit right up. The other must have been defective.

Thanks,
Paul
