Just installed fuel/water seperator but have ?

In the pic you will see i used braided pvc tubing from the filter going out. Is that ok to use?
Also was i suppose to thread the barb fittings all the way into the base? I have no leaks after running the motor.

I'm not a fan of the braided hose. Though I guess if it was rated for fuel use, it shouldn't be any problem.


The barb fittings won't thread in all the way. A pipe thread seals by thread interference. You don't really want it to go in all the way.
You DO want to use some paste form ptfe compound.

I used that same tubing inside the tank as a pick-up line. After one season, the inside was completely torn apart and chunked by the gas, clogging everything. I suggest that you replace it now before you have problems.

Hey mods: I didn't write suggest twice. It was added in when the sentence wrapped around. Might be a problem with the new format.

thats the info i was looking for thanks guys for the help i will replace with rubber fuel line.
